After meeting you in Fes, we depart towards Midelt, passing through the Roman ruins of Volubilis where you will spend the morning exploring the fascinating 2,000-year-old archaeological site and discovering life during the Roman Empire. We then continue to Meknes, one of Morocco’s imperial cities, where you will visit important historical landmarks including Bab Berdaine, Bab Khemis, the Royal Stables (Rua), granaries (Heri es-Souani), and the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail. We also stop at the famous Bab Mansour gate overlooking El Hedim Square, and explore Dar Jamai Museum, known for its rich Moroccan handicrafts. Later, we journey through the Middle Atlas Mountains and cedar forests, stopping near Azrou to see the Barbary monkeys and enjoy the natural scenery. Passing through Berber villages and mountain landscapes, we arrive in Midelt where you will spend the first night in this peaceful mountain town.
After breakfast, we depart towards the Sahara Desert, traveling through the spectacular Ziz Valley with its panoramic views of palm groves and oasis landscapes. Along the route, we pass through small villages, historical kasbahs, and desert towns before arriving in Rissani, the first capital of the Alaouite dynasty. Here, you can explore the traditional market, discover historical sites, and enjoy the local specialty, Berber Pizza. Continuing to Merzouga, you will be welcomed with mint tea before your camel trek begins across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi. Enjoy a magical sunset ride before reaching your desert camp, where a traditional dinner, Saharan music, star-filled skies, and an overnight stay in a Berber tent await you.
Wake up early to witness a breathtaking sunrise over the dunes of Merzouga, near the Algerian border. After returning by camel to the hotel, enjoy breakfast, a shower, and some relaxation before departing towards Todra Gorge. Traveling along the famous Road of a Thousand Kasbahs, you will discover dramatic desert landscapes, ancient caravan routes, lush valleys, and traditional mud-brick villages. Passing through Tinghir and remarkable rock formations, we reach the spectacular Todra Gorge, known for its towering canyon walls and beautiful oasis surroundings. Dinner and overnight stay in Todra Gorge.
After breakfast, enjoy a walk through the magnificent Todra Gorge before continuing towards Ouarzazate. Along the way, we travel through the beautiful Dades Valley and Rose Valley, stopping to visit the stunning Dades Gorge and enjoy lunch. Our journey continues through Skoura’s palm groves and historical kasbahs before arriving in Ouarzazate in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight stay in Ouarzazate.
After breakfast, we explore Ouarzazate, including the impressive Kasbah of Taourirt and the famous Atlas Film Studios, the largest movie studios in Africa. We then continue to Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Morocco’s most iconic ksars, famous for appearing in films such as Gladiator, Babel, and Lawrence of Arabia. After lunch, we travel through the spectacular High Atlas Mountains and cross the Tizi n’Tichka Pass at 2,260 meters above sea level, passing Berber villages, mountain landscapes, and scenic valleys. We arrive in Marrakech in the afternoon, marking the end of your unforgettable Moroccan adventure.
